Freelance Senior Offshore QHSE Officer

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior QHSE Officer to support an offshore cable project with a rapid start.

In this position, you help maintain a safe and healthy work environment by supporting quality, health, safety and environmental practices offshore. You monitor the correct application of QHSE procedures, inspect activities and equipment, and help ensure that operations are executed in accordance with applicable standards and processes.

Primary tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare QHSE reports, follow up KPIs, and liaise with project management and vessel teams
• Take part in onboard and site meetings, including toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and non-conformities
• Promote active involvement of supervisors and operational teams in HSE topics and campaigns
• Perform HSE inspections on the work floor and ensure findings are properly reported, communicated and followed up
• Manage SHOC cards on board and on site
• Support the project team on all QHSE-related topics
• Ensure personnel work with the latest versions of PQMP, PHSEMP, ITP, MST and RA documentation

📝 Your profile

• You communicate clearly and effectively
• You have solid knowledge of and experience with MS Office
• You have a good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
• You hold an MSc in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or have equivalent experience
• Prevention Advisor Level 1 is an asset
