Head of Quality Assurance, Drug Product

For our Quality Assurance department, we are now seeking a Head QA to lead QA operations for Drug Product (DP). The role is located in Kvistgaard, Denmark and you are reporting to the Site Head of Quality.

The role
As Head QA DP, you will provide leadership and oversight of Quality Assurance activities supporting drug product manufacturing and packaging operations. You will ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, maintain compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across quality processes. Furthermore, you will proactively manage quality risks and escalate significant quality issues to Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Drug Product QA team, ensuring a strong quality culture and a motivated, high-performing organization

• Ensure compliant and efficient Quality Assurance oversight of drug product manufacturing and packaging activities across internal operations and external partners

• Drive the ongoing enhancement of the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and support the execution of Quality and company-wide strategic objectives

• Lead quality risk management activities and ensure effective communication and escalation of significant quality and compliance risks

• Maintain a state of inspection readiness and represent the function during regulatory inspections, audits, and health authority interactions

• Champion continuous improvement, operational excellence, and LEAN initiatives to strengthen quality processes, team performance, and business outcomes

What you bring
To become a success in this role, you bring proven people leadership experience and a passion for developing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving a strong quality culture. You have solid experience within a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical environment and deep knowledge of drug product manufacturing, packaging, and GMP compliance.

Furthermore, you hold a degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline and possess a strong understanding of quality systems, quality risk management, and regulatory requirements. You are an effective communicator, a trusted business partner, and a proactive leader who thrives on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
