Clinical Nurse/Group Facilitator – Mental Health | Buderim Hospital
Employment Term: Permanent Part Time Opportunity
Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast QLD
Remuneration: $55.63 - $59.61 phr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

The Cooinda Mental Health inpatient unit is a state-of-the-art 33-bed acute unit for those aged 18 and over. With private, well-equipped rooms, patients have use of the dining room, laundry, lounge areas, visitors' lounge, outdoor areas, music room, art and craft room, therapy rooms and gymnasium. Our service provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, addictions, complex needs due to a mental illness, as well as young adult and older persons mental health needs.

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team
As part of our Cooinda Mental Health team, you will accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.
The Group Facilitator/Clinical Nurse is responsible as part of the Program team for the delivery of evidenced based group therapy to Day Patients and In patients of Cooinda Mental Health Service.
You will provide supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team through effective decision making and support. You will lead by example through exceptional communication, customer service and patient advocacy.
What makes a difference for us?
Minimum of 5 years relevant clinical experience in acute mental health
Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
Post Registration qualification in evidence based therapies eg CBT, DBT
Demonstrated Ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Experience in Delivery of inpatient and day program groups
Flexibility to work full 24/7 rotating roster
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
