At AGRA Industries, we are committed to fostering an innovative, challenging, and safe work environment. We are currently seeking a Field Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position involves traveling to customer job sites throughout the United States—primarily across the Midwest—to perform maintenance and support on customer equipment.

What are we looking for?
This position performs a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc. Work requires in-depth electrical knowledge. May assign, instruct and lay out work for other technicians. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, machines, and equipment, and fabricating metal parts and tools by performing the following, prescribed duties:
- This is an on call position. Must be available to travel to job sites on short notice.
- Performs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles, assembles, and installs industrial machinery.
- Assists supervisor with requisitions and keeping supply of spare parts.
- Follows company policies and safety regulations.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Startup and commission of new equipment.
- Works primarily in the seed, feed and bio fuel industries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school education preferred. Two years of applicable experience is preferred. AGRA is willing to train the right candidate.
