Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experience Patrol in JERSEY CITY, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities within a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe on-site conditions, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions and client guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
