• Safety: Actively promote Air Liquide’s industrial safety culture and quality objectives; strictly comply with all Life Saving Rules (LSR) and environmental standards. 

• R&D Project Management: Lead the scoping, execution, data analysis, and reporting of complex primary production R&D projects from concept to validation.

• Adsorption Innovation: Conduct high-level scientific research on adsorption technologies to optimize gas separation efficiency.

• Operational Support: Provide deep technical expertise and troubleshooting to support regional business development and industrial production operations.

• Open Innovation Ecosystems: Establish, structure, and manage strategic research collaborations with leading universities, research institutes, and industry partners in China.

• Global Collaboration: Partner actively with global R&D networks to co-develop international projects and transfer technical breakthroughs across campuses.

• Technology Scouting: Maintain a highly systematic market and literature watch to scout emerging industry trends and pitch novel research topics.

Academic & Professional Background

• Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. (preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related Chemistry discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on R&D or industrial working experience with a proven track record of managing multiple research projects.

Core Technical Competencies

• Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of adsorption materials (e.g., zeolites, MOFs, carbon molecular sieves) and adsorption processes (PSA, VSA, TSA).

• Solid foundation in multi-scale chemical processes, environmental regulations, and general industrial engineering.

• An active, established professional network within Chinese academia and industrial sectors related to gas separation.
