- The successful candidate will serve as a Transportation & Warehouse Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting enterprise‑level logistics, transportation, and warehouse applications
- This role partners with business stakeholders, project managers, vendors, and IT teams to ensure stable operations and successful delivery of new capabilities
- Act as a primary functional SME for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS), providing day‑to‑day operational and application support
- Analyze transportation, warehouse, and logistics business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and integration solutions
- Lead or support application enhancements, defect resolution, and initiatives spanning WMS, TMS, and related logistics platforms, ranging from minor configuration changes to large, multi‑phase projects
- Perform or coordinate the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle, including:
- Requirements gathering and business process analysis
- Functional and detailed design
- System configuration and parameter setup
- Testing (unit, integration, system, and user acceptance)
- Production deployment, stabilization, and post‑implementation support.
- Provide daily production support for WMS and TMS applications, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues impacting warehouse operations, outbound/inbound transportation, and downstream systems
- Support WMS functional areas, including but not limited to:
- Inbound receiving and put‑away
- Inventory management and control
- Picking, packing, shipping, and outbound staging
- Labor‑ and process‑related configuration (as applicable)
- Coordinate and support integrations between TMS, WMS, mainframe systems, carriers, and third‑party logistics providers, ensuring accurate and timely data flow across the supply chain
- Serve as a key contact for shipment visibility and tracking solutions, supporting WMS‑to‑TMS event flows and resolving integration or data issues
- Lead analysis of production incidents and operational disruptions, performing root cause analysis and coordinating with internal technical teams and external vendors to drive resolution
- Support Oracle Cloud operations, including:
- Creating and managing Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Support
- Reviewing and validating quarterly cloud upgrades for TMS and related integrations
- Coordinating regression testing and business readiness activities
- Support TMS configuration
- Contribute to solution and integration architecture, ensuring that warehouse and transportation systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Support application security and user access, including role setup, access troubleshooting, and SSO coordination for logistics platforms
- Produce and maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation, including functional designs, integration diagrams, support procedures, and knowledge‑transfer materials
- Provide regular status updates to project managers and leadership, communicating risks, dependencies, timelines, and remediation plans

- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics/transportation applications
- Proven experience acting as a WMS and TMS Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting daily warehouse operations, owning application support, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Strong functional knowledge of WMS processes, including:
- Inbound receiving and put‑away
- Inventory management and control
- Picking, packing, shipping, and outbound staging
- Experience configuring and supporting PkMS parameters, rules, and workflows
- Ability to analyze warehouse operational issues and translate them into system configuration changes or functional fixes
- Experience supporting Oracle Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics integrations
- Knowledge of EDI, APIs, and middleware platforms used in warehouse and transportation integrations
- Understanding of end‑to‑end warehouse‑to‑transport flows, including WMS‑to‑TMS handoffs and shipment execution
- Experience supporting system integrations between WMS, TMS, mainframe systems, carriers, and third‑party applications
- Experience across the full application lifecycle, including:
- Requirements gathering and functional analysis
- Creating and maintaining functional documentation, workflows, support runbooks, configuration specs, and operational procedures
- Testing (unit, integration, system, UAT)
- Production deployment and post‑implementation (warranty) support
- Strong production support and troubleshooting skills, including:
- Incident resolution
- Root cause analysis
- Coordination with technical teams and vendors
- Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse operations, business users, technical teams, and leadership
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel support and project activities
- Experience working in mission‑critical operational environments with tight SLAs
- Experience with Manhattan WMS PkMS v2003
- Experience supporting Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), including:
- Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs)
- Quarterly cloud upgrade impact analysis and testing
- Experience with shipment visibility platforms (e.g., Project44 or similar)
- Experience with voice‑directed warehouse solutions (e.g., Vocollect)
- Familiarity with warehouse hardware integrations (RF scanners, printers, labelers, voice devices)
- Exposure to change and release management tools (e.g., ALM, DevOps, or configuration management platforms such as ALDON)
- Experience supporting application security and access management, including role‑based access and SSO concepts
- Background in automotive, manufacturing, distribution, or high‑volume logistics environments
- 3+ years of big 4 consulting experience is preferred
- A stable work history with large enterprise organizations
