Senior Paint Robot Specialist

 

Position: Senior Paint Robot/Process Technician (Automotive)

Location: Klang, Selangor

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

 

The Challenge (What You Will Fix):

• Unstable production output

• Recurring paint defects

• Ongoing troubleshooting issues

• Growing production backlog

• Weak technical ownership in the paint shop

 

Core Objective:

We require someone capable of helping the team move out of firefighting mode and stabilize the operation.

 

Key Requirements:

1. Automotive Paint Shop Experience

• Minimum 5–10 years relevant experience in automotive paint shop environment

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing production

2. Paint Robot Experience

Must have hands-on experience with:

• Dürr / ABB / Fanuc / Kawasaki paint robots

• Robot teaching and touch-up

• Robot troubleshooting

• Robot path adjustment

• Spray gun application systems

 

3. Process Troubleshooting Capability

 

 

Candidate must be able to:

• Troubleshoot recurring paint defects

• Identify root causes

• Stabilize paint quality

• Reduce reject and rework

• Improve process consistency

• Support production recovery during abnormal conditions

 

4. Technical Knowledge Required

Good understanding of:

• Spray gun setup and atomization

• Paint circulation system

• Shaping air and pressure control

• Paint thickness consistency

• Oven curing behavior

• Paint defects analysis

• Humidity and temperature influence

• Process parameter control
