Description
Responsibilities
- Provide site-based technical support, troubleshooting and repair for electrical and electronic systems on complete large CAT equipment.
- Diagnose starting, charging, wiring, sensors, switches, control modules, monitoring, lighting and safety systems.
- Use CAT ET and SIS for fault-code analysis, calibration, testing and technical procedures.
- Lead complex electrical fault finding
- Support electrical work during component removal, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Verify repairs through functional tests and ensure wiring and connectors meet quality standards.
- Support warranty inspections, failure reporting, evidence collection and claim documentation.
- Record diagnostic results, repairs and recommendations in work reports and maintenance systems.
- Escalate repeat or major failures and support root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 5-7 years experience in heavy equipment electrical/electronic systems CAT mining equipment experience preferred.
- Strong electrical diagnostic, reporting and team-coordination skills.
- CAT large equipment experience is preferred.
- Good English communication and computer literacy.
- Able to work on day and night shifts according to roster.
- Comply with EHS requirements, risk assessment/JSA, Lockout/Tagout and Stop Work Authority.
- Follow working-at-height, confined-space, lifting/rigging and fatigue-management controls where applicable.
- Report hazards and near misses and follow environmental and spill-control procedures.
- Valid driving license.
