Description
Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for an Operations Control Associate to join the Vehicle Logistics Department – Distribution Planning and Control Section based at the Santa Rosa Vehicle Center.
As a member of the Operations Control Team, the Operations Control Associate is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and improving vehicle distribution operations to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of vehicles from ports, TMP facilities, and dealerships. The role works closely with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and internal stakeholders to maintain operational stability, achieve delivery targets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through the Toyota Way and Kaizen mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management and Control
- Monitor and control day-to-day vehicle distribution operations to ensure the achievement of delivery targets and operational KPIs.
- Coordinate closely with Logistics Service Providers, including port operators, shipping lines, and transport carriers, to ensure timely and accurate vehicle movement.
- Monitor vehicle handling and transportation activities to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality requirements.
2. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Consolidate, analyze, and report actual delivery performance, operational abnormalities, and process issues.
- Accurately and promptly consolidate, update, and report daily delivery performance, problem monitoring, and end-of-shift results.
- Track operational performance indicators and recommend corrective actions to address delivery and process concerns.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations (PEVs) of LSPs based on established operational and service KPIs.
3. Compliance and Process Assurance
- Perform actual process observation to verify compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards.
- Ensure Logistics Service Providers adhere to established operational procedures, policies, and minimum operating requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and project requirements.
4. Continuous Improvement and Project Support
- Identify operational gaps, process abnormalities, and improvement opportunities through data analysis and field observations.
- Initiate Kaizen activities to eliminate process challenges and implement operational improvements.
- Create process maps and flowcharts, and develop operational policies and procedures to standardize operations.
- Handle and/or participate in special projects and activities, business improvements, and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Mechanical Engineering
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
- Experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, distribution planning, or supply chain operations is an advantage.
