Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Program Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support current and future missile-defense modeling & simulation programs. The job is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
This is a program management role responsible for cost, schedule, performance and customer relationships for highly-technical modeling & simulation programs within the Advanced Mission and Space Processing Operating Unit. This program manager will work closely with operations, engineering, business management, contracts, subcontracts, quality and other functions for effective program execution. The selectee will manage a modeling & simulation program and support business development in refining capture strategies to position to win other opportunities. A credible background in modeling & simulation applications, frameworks, tools, wargaming, and analytics development is highly desired.
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. The candidate will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Software Development/Modeling & Simulation, or 6 years' experience with a Master's degree
- Requires US citizenship and active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a top-secret clearance at the time of application
- Must be experienced in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
- Proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High proficiency in technical problem solving
- Familiarity and understanding of the Missile Defense System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical and/or management specialty
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Direct supervisory experience and/or significant team leadership experience
- Working knowledge of modeling & simulation software, frameworks, and tools
- Agile development experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $146,500.00 - $219,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
