Role Overview
Anticipated responsibilities include:
- Provide nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac care needs.
- Perform assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications according to clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team.
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and care planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow patient safety and infection prevention practices.

Required Qualifications
- At least one year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
- Active, unencumbered Texas RN license or an applicable multistate compact RN license.
- Associate degree in nursing accepted.
- For nurses without a BSN, enrollment in a BSN program within six months and completion within 24 months, consistent with the facility's stated education requirement.
- Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within six months of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN certification.
- Completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
