Alteryx is searching for a Lead Architect, Professional Services - Agentic AI Solutions. This position is remote-friendly.
Position Overview:
The Lead Architect, Professional Services - Agentic AI Solutions is a senior technical architect responsible
for guiding complex enterprise AI/ML engagements, leading Agentic AI solution architecture and deployment, and elevating technical excellence across a new Professional Services team focused on AI-driven customer outcomes.
Lead Architects serve as trusted advisors to customers and internal teams, helping organizations move
Agentic AI solutions from strategy and discovery through development, production deployment, governance, and scale. This role will place particular emphasis on Office of Finance use cases and regulated business environments where security, controls, auditability, and reliability are critical.
In addition to leading complex solution design and implementation, Lead Architects mentor other architects, establish reusable patterns and standards, and partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and customer executives on strategic AI opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, development, and deployment for complex enterprise Agentic AI solutions, with particular emphasis on Office of Finance use cases and workflows.
- Own technical direction for multi-workstream AI/ML engagements, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, production-ready, and aligned with customer business objectives.
- Guide the design of AI agents and multi-agent workflows that integrate large language models, enterprise data, APIs, tools, applications, and automation platforms.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making across Alteryx Designer, Server, and the Alteryx One enterprise analytics platform, together with cloud AI/ML services, modern data platforms, and enterprise systems of record.
- Define production-readiness patterns for security, governance, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation, observability, auditability, reliability, cost, and performance.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for challenging AI architecture scenarios, high-risk engagements, and critical deployment decisions.
- Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering during strategic opportunities to shape solution approaches, validate feasibility, support scoping, and connect technical design to measurable business outcomes.
- Engage customer executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into practical AI roadmaps and deployment plans.
- Mentor architects and provide technical guidance on enterprise AI/ML architecture, Agentic AI development, and customer delivery practices.
- Create and evolve reusable reference architectures, solution patterns, accelerators, governance guidance, and internal enablement resources.
- Stay current on the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem and help the organization evaluate emerging technologies, patterns, and approaches for enterprise adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in technical architecture, consulting, enterprise AI/ML, data, analytics, or automation implementation roles.
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML enterprise architecture with a focus on Agentic AI development and deployment.
- Proven experience leading complex enterprise customer engagements and driving technical decisions across multiple stakeholders or workstreams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor technical professionals, establish architecture standards, and influence technical direction without direct authority.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to connect architecture decisions to business outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Sales or Presales teams to shape strategic technical opportunities and validate delivery feasibility.
- Strong expertise with Alteryx Designer, Server, and the Alteryx One enterprise analytics platform is strongly preferred, including experience integrating Alteryx into complex enterprise data, cloud, automation, and AI ecosystems.
- Experience supporting Office of Finance, accounting, banking, SOX-compliant environments, or similar financial services and regulated business use cases is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep experience designing enterprise AI/ML architectures and leading Agentic AI development and deployment, including AI agents, multi-agent systems, orchestration, tool use, LLMs, RAG, and API-based integrations.
- Proven experience moving complex AI solutions from proof of concept through production deployment, operationalization, and scale.
- Strong understanding of enterprise AI governance, security, model risk, evaluation, observability, human oversight, auditability, and lifecycle management.
- Experience designing AI solutions across cloud and data ecosystems such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, data architectures, identity and access controls, and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Experience leading complex technical engagements, architecture reviews, or multi-workstream implementations with senior customer stakeholders.
- Ability to balance innovation with enterprise requirements for reliability, security, governance, cost, and operational supportability.
