Description
Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Policy & Practice Coordinator to support system-wide nursing policy governance, clinical practice standards, and nursing communication. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Excellence, this role will help ensure policies and clinical resources are current, compliant, accessible, and aligned with evidence-based practice, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys bringing people together, managing complex projects, improving processes, and supporting consistency in clinical practice across a large health system.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate the development, review, revision, approval, implementation, and maintenance of system nursing policies and clinical resources.
- Manage policy review schedules, version control, documentation, and governance processes.
- Facilitate clinical policy committee meetings and coordinate stakeholder review and approvals.
- Partner with nursing leaders, clinical experts, quality, compliance, legal, risk management, HR, and other interdisciplinary teams.
- Support regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and organizational readiness.
- Provide guidance to policy owners regarding templates, governance requirements, approval processes, and documentation standards.
- Monitor policy metrics and identify opportunities to improve policy management and workflows.
- Lead system-wide nursing communication processes to promote timely, consistent, and effective dissemination of policy updates, practice changes, and organizational priorities.
- Evaluate communication effectiveness and recommend improvements that support engagement, understanding, and consistency across the nursing workforce.
What You’ll Need:
- Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
- At least 5 years of progressive nursing experience.
- Experience working across multiple departments, entities, or care settings.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with at least one degree in Nursing.
- Strong written, verbal, editing, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across the organization without direct authority.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements and policy/document management systems.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in leadership, professional practice, nursing education, quality, accreditation, shared governance, or policy management.
- Experience with nursing policy governance, clinical practice standardization, or system-wide communication.
- Nursing certification.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
