Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support ongoing oversight of Bell’s investment funds and joint ventures, including venture-level cash flows, liquidity, distributions, investment performance, portfolio activity, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze venture performance using property-level operating results, budgets, forecasts, capital plans, debt information, market data, and other relevant inputs.
- Partner with Asset Management, Investments, Fund Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, and other teams to gather information, solve problems, coordinate deliverables, and support fund-level decision making.
- Serve as a key point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, helping keep projects organized, deadlines on track, and information communicated effectively across teams.
- Prepare, review, and refine presentations, investment and transaction summaries, talking points, track-record analyses, due diligence materials, and other communications for investors, consultants, senior leadership, and strategic partners.
- Support quarterly and annual reporting processes, including venture performance summaries, investor reports, investor presentations, talking points, and other fund communications.
- Assist with the planning and execution of Bell’s Annual Investor Meeting, including preparation of presentation materials, development of property tour content, coordination across internal teams, support for attendee communications and meeting logistics, and completion of follow-up deliverables.
- Assist in the coordination of responses to investor, consultant, and compliance requests, including DDQs, RFPs, questionnaires, benchmarking requests, track-record requests, diligence follow-ups, and supporting documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to facilitate collaboration, information sharing, and efficient execution of fund initiatives.
- Maintain organized source files, calculation support, reporting folders, templates, and version-control practices to create a clear audit trail and facilitate efficient review.
- Assist with venture governance matters, including amendments, investor or advisory committee consents, board resolutions, side-letter reporting requirements, and related documentation.
- Help design, test, and improve internal reporting tools, dashboards, models, templates, and workflows, including the use of automation and AI-enabled tools to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, respond to time-sensitive requests, and take ownership of ad hoc projects and emerging priorities as the needs of the funds and broader organization evolve.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate property- and venture-level cash flows, investment returns, operating performance, liquidity, and capital structure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Vena, Workiva, Yardi, or comparable reporting systems is a plus.
- Ability to reconcile information across multiple systems and source documents, investigate discrepancies, and maintain clear calculation support.
- Ability to translate detailed financial, operational, and market information into concise, accurate, polished, and decision-oriented work product.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the judgment to communicate complex information clearly and tailor content to different audiences.
- Professional presence and confidence interacting with senior leadership, investors, consultants, and other internal and external partners.
- Ability to coordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Strong organizational skills, a proactive and service-oriented mindset, and a willingness to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- High attention to detail, strong quality-control habits, and a commitment to data integrity and consistent presentation.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and periodic deadline-intensive reporting cycles.
- Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning new concepts, systems, and technologies.
Education and Background
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Approximately 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in real estate private equity, investment management, investment banking, asset management, investor relations, fund accounting, investor reporting, or a related field is preferred.
