QA/QC Supervisor

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and industry standards. This role supervises QA/QC personnel, coordinates inspection and testing activities, and ensures quality policies, procedures, and material control systems are effectively implemented and maintained across all stages of production, including mechanical, structural, piping, instrumentation, and electrical components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, supervision, and day-to-day direction to QA/QC personnel, including training, mentoring, work assignments, and performance support.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee quality control inspections for pipe, structural, instrumentation, and electrical fabrication and assembly operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, material control processes, and documentation in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1, API, applicable electrical standards, customer ITPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain quality data reports, inspection documentation, records, and traceability requirements.
• Perform visual inspections of welds, materials, instrumentation, and electrical components.
• Coordinate NDE activities, including QA/QC technicians and third-party vendors, and ensure required testing is completed and properly documented.
• Review and interpret radiographic film and other NDE results and ensure appropriate follow-up and disposition of findings.
• Ensure electrical installation, wiring, termination, labeling, and grounding comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support and participate in customer audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party reviews; coordinate responses and follow-up actions as needed.
• Identify quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, project management, and leadership to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood, communicated, and met.

Qualifications

• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification - Required.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME and API codes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, NDE methods, and quality control processes.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, project management, customers, and third-party inspectors.
• Ability to enforce quality standards, address nonconformances, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to visually inspect welds, materials, and fabrication components, including close-up and distance viewing.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and outdoor conditions as required.
• Ability to travel and work offsite on an occasional basis (less than 10%).
