Description
The Project Controlled is required to provide dedicated oversight of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and payment processes. The position will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with client, government, contractual, and donor requirements while maintaining project expenditure within approved budgets. This role is critical to mitigating financial and administrative risks and supporting efficient, compliant, and timely project delivery.
Key Resposibilities:
- Maintaining local financial and administration records including report and correspondence
- Management of petty cash
- Managing project administration, reporting and compliance, including the computer systema dn communications
- Supervising the use and maintenance of project vehicles
- Ensuring the project office, utility services and communications are maintained in good order and consumables are resupplied
- Making meeting arrangements for the project staff
- Managing accommodation and travel arrangements for project staff
- Liaising with the SMEC Project Manager
- Maintaining personnel records
Qualifications:
- Has completed secondary school
- Experienced in managing a consulting office
- Fluent in reading and writing in English and Tetum
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) in a Windows environment
- Demonstrated skill in managing multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
- Experienced in delivering projects in in Timor-Leste.
