Description
The Lutheran Home is looking for an Occupational Therapist on a PRN basis to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work with residents to assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that help build or restore their vocational and daily living skills, as well as general independence. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Test and evaluate residents’ physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for residents
- Evaluate resident’s progress and prepare reports that detail progress
- Select activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their mental or physical capabilities
- Recommend changes in residents’ work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities
- Consult with rehabilitation team to select activity programs or coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Missouri State license
- Long-term care experience preferred
