Your role in achieving results:
- Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and the ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.
- Responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in employee relations including work direction of employees, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action.
- Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production team.
- Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
- Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur’s quality standards.
- Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant.
- Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time.
- Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
- Results driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change through strong interpersonal and communication skills and formal problem-solving techniques.
- In the Production Supervisor’s absence, such as vacations or sick time, you will be responsible for assuming the role of Supervisor for your shift.
- Participate in First Aid Training in order to support the shift in First Aid.
What we are looking for to deliver these results:
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF).
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and field-specific software.
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience is an asset.
- Experience supervising in food or pharma industry would be an asset
- UKG Scheduling experience would be considered an asset.
