ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Financial Analyst performs responsible financial, statistical, budgetary, contract, procurement, data, procedural, legislative and organizational analyses in support of Court-wide operations. The position independently conducts complex research and analysis, develops financial projections and reports, and provides fact-based recommendations to support management and organizational decision-making. The Financial Analyst participates in budget development and administration, contract and procurement activities, program monitoring, and the development of policies, procedures, and operational improvements. The position works collaboratively with judicial officers, Court and County staff, executive leadership, contractors, and external agencies to coordinate programs and resolve financial and operational issues. Success in this role requires sound judgment, analytical ability, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of Court information.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial, budget, statistical, and operational data to support data-driven Court-wide decision making.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, financial reports, business re-engineering projects, fund tracking, and other financial planning tools.
- Support procurement and contract activities, including solicitations, evaluations, and contract monitoring.
- Conduct research and special projects related to policies, programs, legislation, grants, and operational initiatives, applying critical thinking to complex issues.
- Develop spreadsheets, dashboards, and other analytical tracking tools, and communicate findings and recommendations verbally and in writing to stakeholders.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:
OPTION I: Bachelor's degree* from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, finance, accounting, economics, public policy, or a closely related field* -AND- one (1) year of responsible experience involving budget and financial or accounting analysis.
OPTION II: Five (5) years of recent experience performing accounting and administrative support functions involving budget and financial or accounting analysis.

Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with financial, budget, statistical analysis, or legislative analysis, including interpreting legislation, regulations, or policy changes and assessing their potential impacts.
- Experience working with public-sector budgets, contracts, grants, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge and experience using analytical and data-visualization tools such as Excel, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, Access, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Visual Basic and/or any of the Court's case management systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex and analytical findings to stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple projects and working independently.
