Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We're looking for a Change & Business Readiness Coordinator to support the successful delivery and integration of change across Customer & Services. You will coordinate readiness activities, support impact assessment work, maintain change documentation, and help ensure operational teams are prepared for upcoming change.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple initiatives, partnering with business leaders, subject matter experts, programme teams and operational stakeholders to ensure change is understood, planned for, and embedded effectively.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and support business impact assessments across people, processes, systems, services and customer outcomes.
- Support readiness assessments, implementation planning and business readiness activities.
- Gather, document and maintain business requirements, impacts, risks and operational considerations.
- Maintain readiness plans, implementation documentation and the Customer & Services change calendar.
- Monitor, track and report risks, issues, dependencies and readiness actions.
- Prepare reports, briefing materials, process documentation and implementation artefacts.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $85,000 – $89,000 commensurate with skills and experience.

You are a highly organised and proactive coordinator who enjoys bringing people together, solving problems and helping teams navigate change successfully. You have strong analytical skills, can quickly understand operational impacts, and are comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience supporting change initiatives, business improvement activities, projects, or operational change programmes.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, impacts, risks or stakeholder needs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to analyse and document business processes and operational workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience preparing reports, recommendations, business documentation and briefing materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Experience using business analysis, process mapping and Microsoft 365 tools.
- An understanding of change implementation, operational readiness or customer service delivery environments.
While not essential, experience within customer service, regulatory, operational or public sector environments, or training in business analysis, change management, project support or continuous improvement methodologies would be an advantage.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and te reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector.

The Change & Business Readiness Team prepares Customer & Services for change and supports its successful integration into business operations. The team provides the readiness, coordination and business support required to assess impacts, align priorities, coordinate subject matter experts and embed sustainable change across the function.
