Description

Want to be part of something people experience every day?

We're looking for a Process Lead Accounting to join our Northern Europe Operational Finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and improving accounting processes, controls, and compliance across Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands within a collaborative, international environment.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Tax, Legal, Controlling, SAP and our Paris-based Consolidation team, helping drive consistency, automation and best practice across the region. If you enjoy solving complex accounting challenges, improving processes and influencing how finance operates, we'd love to hear from you.

Why this role matters

As Process Lead Accounting, you'll be the regional owner of the Record-to-Report (R2R) process across Northern Europe. You'll help ensure our accounting operations are compliant, efficient and fit for the future, while supporting major finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.

You'll join a team of six Accounting colleagues based across Sweden and the Netherlands and be part of a wider Operational Finance organisation of around 40 professionals across the Northern Europe region.

Working closely with the Head of Accounting, you'll help standardise accounting processes, strengthen controls, improve the use of SAP S/4HANA and support the successful delivery of statutory and group reporting requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality, consistency and effectiveness of finance operations across multiple countries.

What you'll be getting involved in

No two days will look exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

  • Leading the optimisation, harmonisation and governance of accounting processes across Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
  • Acting as the regional process owner for Record-to-Report activities and statutory accounting processes.
  • Driving root-cause analysis and resolution of accounting issues, audit findings and process inefficiencies.
  • Supporting quarterly, annual and statutory reporting activities under IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
  • Partnering with the Paris Consolidation team to ensure accurate and timely group reporting.
  • Producing and maintaining accounting policies, SOPs, process documentation, workflow maps and control frameworks.
  • Providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including restructurings, investments, divestments, impairments and intercompany matters.
  • Leading accounting process training and knowledge-sharing across regional finance teams.
  • Acting as a SAP S/4HANA super user, supporting testing, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Tax, Legal, Controlling, P2P, OTC and wider Finance teams to improve cross-functional processes and controls.

What we're looking for

We're not looking for someone who ticks every single box. What matters most is that you bring the right experience, attitude and expertise to make a real impact.

You'll enjoy this role if you:

  • Have significant experience within accounting, financial control, audit or Record-to-Report operations.
  • Enjoy improving processes and driving standardisation across multiple stakeholders and countries.
  • Are comfortable working with complex accounting matters and translating technical requirements into practical solutions.
  • Build strong relationships and influence effectively across different teams and levels of the organisation.
  • Take ownership and proactively identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency and quality.
  • Have a structured approach and strong attention to detail.

It would be great if you also bring:

  • 5-10+ years' experience in accounting, audit, financial control or related finance environments.
  • Strong IFRS expertise alongside knowledge of Swedish, Danish or Dutch GAAP.
  • Advanced SAP ERP experience, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience working within multi-country, multi-entity organisations.
  • Excellent documentation, process mapping and control design capabilities.
  • Fluency in English. Swedish or Dutch language skills would be advantageous.
  • Experience within real estate, property or asset-heavy businesses.
  • Previous involvement in ERP implementations, finance transformation or major system changes.
  • A Big 4 audit background would be highly beneficial.
