Summary
Q2 is looking for an Implementation Engineer to lead the technical build and delivery of our Centrix Risk & Fraud Management solutions. This is a hands-on technical role with a consultative edge. You’ll configure and architect integrations between Q2’s platforms and external systems, including online banking applications, core processing systems, and other third-party services, often within Azure-hosted environments. You’ll also act as the Centrix product expert on each project. You’ll learn how each client operates, recommend best practices, and make sure they know what’s needed on their side to go live.
You’ll work directly with clients, Project Managers, and cross-functional partners in Sales, Product, Engineering, and Hosting, using Salesforce to manage and track casework and status. You’ll translate technical detail into terms clients and project partners can act on. We’re looking for someone who is disciplined, driven, and comfortable owning complex problems from discovery through go-live, with the technical skills to build the solution and the confidence to work directly with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with clients and internal project teams to translate business requirements into technical configuration and integration plans
- Designs, builds, and tests connections and integrations between Q2’s Centrix solutions and external systems, including digital banking platforms and other third-party applications
- Works within Azure-hosted architecture to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot client environments
- Carries out the hands-on configuration and technical tasks required for each client implementation
- Manages and updates cases in Salesforce, keeping internal and external stakeholders informed
- Problem-solves routine-to-complex technical issues independently, escalating only what truly needs escalation
- Builds strong working relationships across Development, Product, and Delivery to unblock client work and drive cross-functional buy-in
- Creates tools, scripts, or process improvements that increase quality, security, and delivery speed across the team
- Tracks and reports on implementation status against timeline and scope
- Upholds Q2’s security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls throughout every engagement
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 5-7 years of experience
- Experience with Azure architecture — comfortable working within and troubleshooting cloud-hosted environments
- Working experience with Salesforce, particularly case management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate technical detail into terms a non-technical stakeholder or client can act on
- A detail-oriented, process-driven approach to work; comfortable owning quality checkpoints
- A disciplined self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent client implementations independently
- Comfort working directly with clients — confident fielding questions and managing expectations during a live project
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Understanding of DB Design and TSQL query language as related to Enterprise software configuration, installation and debugging
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent people and teamwork skills with a drive for ownership of activities with a focus on successful completion.
