Site Director/Early Learning Professional - Castro Valley, CA

Hours: Mon to Fri and no weekends!

Pay: $30 - 33 per hour depending on experience

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.

As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

We're looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program
• Takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

Requirements:

Education & Experience (Meet one of the following paths)

• High School Pathway: High School Diploma/GED + 15 semester college units (including 3 units in Administration/Staff Relations and 3 units in ECE/Child Development/School-Age courses) + 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center.
• Associate Degree Pathway: AA/AS in ECE, Child Development, or a related field (including 3 units in Administration/Staff Relations) + 2 years of licensed child care teaching experience.
• Bachelor's Degree Pathway: BA/BS in ECE, Child Development, or a related field (including 3 units in Administration/Staff Relations) + 1 year of licensed child care teaching experience.
• Permit Pathway: Valid California Child Development Site Supervisor or Program Director Permit issued by the CTC.

Mandatory Health, Training, & Clearances

• Training: Completion of 16 hours of Health and Safety Training, including Pediatric First Aid/CPR, preventive health practices, and mandated reporter training.
• Clearances: Must pass Live Scan criminal background checks and Child Abuse Central Index clearance prior to starting on-site work
