Description

We are looking for Trainee Audit Associates to join our Audit & Assurance Department. We have trainee opportunities for those early in their careers or for graduates.

As an Audit Associate, you will gain valuable insight into a wide range of businesses and industries, working on real client engagements while developing your technical and professional skills. From day one, you will be involved in the audit process, supporting the team with planning, fieldwork, analysis and client interaction.

You will commence a training contract and undertake a professional accountancy qualification with either ACCA or ICAEW with full financial support for your tuition and exam fees. Alongside your studies, you will receive structured training, mentoring and guidance to help you balance work and learning successfully.

As your career progresses, you will develop a broad range of technical, commercial and interpersonal skills, providing a strong foundation for a rewarding career in audit and professional services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist within the wider team by obtaining and documenting audit evidence 
  • Liaise with clients as needed, dealing with issues that may arise, escalating to relevant individual
  • Prepare analysis of accounting data from client’s books and records
  • Active engagement with client staff in the gathering of appropriate audit evidence
  • Participation in group, stream and firm wide activities
  • Successfully study towards your professional qualification



Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours

• Hold, or be predicted to achieve, an undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:2 classification.
• Have achieved 3 A-levels at grades A*-C (or equivalent, including IB qualifications), or a BTEC Level 3 qualification with grades of Merit, Merit, Pass or above.
• Achieved GCSE (or equivalent) grades 9-4 (A*-C) in English Language and Mathematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
• Demonstrates honesty, motivation and professional behaviour.
• A desire to understand our business, clients, strategy and goals.
• A proactive approach to learning, with a commitment to personal and professional development.
• An analytical and problem-solving orientation.
• An interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification and developing a successful career in audit.
