We are hiring to fill the job vacancy for Account Manager (Regional Service Manager) for Asia, based at our office in the Netherlands.

Damen Services
Damen Services is a team of 300 very dedicated, creative, entrepreneurial, and motivated maritime professionals who support their clients and each other. We interact directly with Damen customers around the world, helping to find solutions for challenging situations.
 

The role

As an Account Manager or Regional Service Manager, you are, within your region, responsible for all service activities of Damen Services.

You will be part of the Service Asia team, managing accounts in the Asian region, and will make sure that we meet the needs of our customers by offering and executing excellent services. As Regional Service manager you will closely cooperate with the Sales department and contribute to the sale of vessels by delivering an outstanding service performance.

 

Responsibilities

• Business development: attract new clients and develop compelling propositions that drive our commercial growth.

• Innovate: Function as one single point of contact for the customers. 
• Specify: Hold consultations with the (potential) clients about the technical, functional and other specifications of the possible assignment. 
• Collaborate: Manage complex relations with both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Estimate: Gather market information on the assigned region to prepare and implement a business plan. 
• Monitor: Monitor project progress (together with the operational team) and timely identification of deviations from specifications and contract.

Skills & experience

We’re looking for pioneers who dare to innovate and take ownership. Our future Regional Service Manager should come prepared with the following:

• A bachelors degree, Marof, Shipbuilding or Mechanical Engineering;
• Or a bachelors degree in business administration combined with relevant experience in a technical environment;
• At least 5 years of experience in handling complex accounts;
• Business knowledge for combining technical, logistical, and commercial aspects of assignments.

You are:

• Commercially minded, proactive and always looking for opportunities to grow our client base and develop new propositions.
• Pragmatic, persuasive with a solid personality, fitting within a dynamic organization with a hands-on culture;
• Result-oriented with initiative and management skills;
• Mastery of English. Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders and clients;
• Decisive and at the same time flexible in your approach and works methodically;
• Able to influence, put things into perspective and also knows how to have the patience that is sometimes needed to achieve results;
• Well able to manage expectations.
• Already living in The Netherlands.
