Operations Manager

About the Role

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing daily business operations across multiple departments, ensuring operational efficiency, seamless coordination, and alignment with organizational goals.

This leadership position focuses on streamlining processes, improving operational performance, strengthening supply chain management, and ensuring effective collaboration across warehouse and logistics, sales, retail, purchasing, customer service, and administration.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with extensive experience in multi-channel operations, particularly in the construction materials, furnishing, finishing materials, or interior fit-out industries.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Strategic Leadership

• Oversee and coordinate daily operations across multiple business departments.
• Translate business objectives and executive directives into actionable operational strategies.
• Collaborate with senior management to improve operational performance and support business growth.
• Ensure operational alignment, accountability, and effective communication across departments.

Supply Chain, Logistics & Distribution

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement coordination, warehousing, inventory control, and logistics.
• Ensure timely and efficient distribution and delivery of materials to clients, retail outlets, distributors, and project sites.
• Improve inventory management, resource utilization, and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting service quality, delivery schedules, and profitability.

Process Improvement & Performance Management

• Develop, monitor, and evaluate operational KPIs, costs, productivity, and service performance.
• Implement process improvements to reduce operational expenses and improve business efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and company policies.
• Lead initiatives focused on cost optimization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

People Management & Compliance

• Lead, coach, and evaluate department managers and operational supervisors.
• Oversee manpower planning, workforce allocation, and operational resource management.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and high performance across departments.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in operations management, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial or executive-level role.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple departments, including supply chain, warehousing, logistics, distribution, and other business operations.
• Experience in the construction, furnishing, finishing materials, or interior fit-out industry, preferably handling B2B projects, wholesale, and retail operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational KPIs, optimize processes, control costs, and improve business performance.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating and reporting directly to business owners, executives, or senior leadership.
• Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
