Scope/Impact
The Account Executive is responsible for providing support to the Sales department of third party benefits administration products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition, process assigned client renewals thereby enhancing complete customer satisfaction, provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services. This position has key responsibility for maximizing product/service quality, quantity, cost effectiveness, and profitability in keeping with individual targets and the goals and objectives of the company in order to maximize profitability.
Essential Functions
· Makes contacts, researches customer needs, and develops application of products and services in an effective manner to ensure sales opportunities.
· Assist in determining market strategies and goals for each product and service.
· Research, source, and develop a list of potential clients.
· Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers’ technical and/or other needs
· Maintain state of the art understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
· Collaborate with administrative departments to ensure services are provided in accordance with customer requirements.
· Establish and maintain communication paths with the customer and related line departments.
· Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services that comply with established guidelines and pricing policies.
· Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner to ensure effective market planning and continued revenue stream.
· Perform educational presentations for employees in various settings and locations.
· Develop a close working relationship with employers to renew benefits on an annual basis and offer daily support.
· Develop and regularly update customized employee facing materials.
· Participate in the development of new products, modification of existing products/services and termination of ineffective product and services in an effective and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
Other Function(s)
· Champion P&A Group values and policies.
· Maintain data protection, privacy, security and maintain HIPAA compliance for participants and clients.
· Completes any additional assignments as requested by the executive/management team members
· Provide mentoring/support of team and/or identify/deliver training for team
· Ad-Hoc reporting, analysis and presentations as required
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or Equivalent Work Experience
· 1-3 years of progressive experience in client service related to P&A products and services
· Knowledge of ERISA and/or employee benefit experience preferred
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES
- Solid oral and written communication skills with ability to convey one’s message with diplomacy and tact
- Ability to effectively interact, present information, and respond to questions from customers, colleagues and management
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities utilizing effective organizational and time management practices
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and team members
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of alternative support systems used within P&A Group
TRAVEL
Up to 25% travel is required for this position
Working Conditions
Fast paced work environment; flexibility to work schedules as required due to changing business demands. Occasional overtime is required. The work environment is moderately sedentary and typical of general office conditions with regard to standing, sitting, walking and lifting; no adverse conditions.
