Location: Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina
Position Title: Maintenance Sales Representative

The Opportunity:
This is a high-impact, ground-floor opportunity to play a pivotal role in a company’s expansion across the rapidly growing Greenville/Spartanburg market. The organization is making a deliberate and strategic push into the Upstate, identifying it as a critical growth region, with plans to significantly expand its presence and potentially establish a more permanent footprint over time.

The individual in this role will be at the forefront of that expansion, responsible for building new customer relationships, penetrating untapped accounts, and driving revenue through the sale of preventive maintenance agreements and related service offerings. This is not a maintenance or relationship management role; it is a true “hunter” position, requiring a high degree of self-motivation, resilience, and competitive drive.

Success in this role will directly influence the company’s market share and long-term positioning in one of the Southeast’s most dynamic regions. The right candidate will have the autonomy to build their territory, establish a strong customer base, and help define how the business scales in the Upstate. With plans to add multiple individuals in this market, this role also offers the potential to be an early leader and cultural driver as the team expands.

The Position:
The Maintenance Sales Representative will focus on developing new business opportunities within the Greenville/Spartanburg market. This role is responsible for identifying prospective clients, initiating contact, and selling preventive maintenance agreements and service solutions.

The position requires a proactive approach to territory development, including cold calling, networking, and consistent outreach. The successful candidate will be responsible for building their own pipeline and executing the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing.

The role is highly autonomous and requires strong internal drive, organization, and resilience. It is ideal for individuals who thrive in competitive environments and are motivated by results.

Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Sell preventive maintenance agreements and service solutions to commercial clients
  • Conduct cold outreach and maintain a consistent pipeline of new prospects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and clients
  • Identify customer needs and present consultative solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract close
  • Maintain consistent activity levels to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer onboarding and service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability or strong desire to succeed in a hunter-style sales role
  • Demonstrated competitiveness, drive, and resilience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
  • Willingness to perform consistent prospecting and outreach activities

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in sales, preferably in B2B or service-related environments
  • Mechanical or HVAC industry knowledge is beneficial but not required
  • Candidates from adjacent industries or with strong sales backgrounds are encouraged to apply
