Ready to put your administrative talent toward making a real community impact? As a Floating Office Specialist 2 with our Child Welfare team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly so children and families receive the support they need.
We are currently seeking a Floating Office Specialist 2 to join our Child Welfare team based in our Milton Freewater office.
This position will serve as a flexible support role for both the Milton Freewater and Pendleton offices. Traveling between offices is part of this role's job duties.

Summary of Duties
As a Floating Office Specialist 2, you will:
Provide administrative support to both the Milton Freewater and Pendleton offices. Traveling between offices as required.
Provide administrative and records support by managing front lobby operations, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and clearly communicating agency rules and policies.
Issue and track vouchers, transportation passes, and parent mileage reimbursements.
Support protective services staff by entering case data and documentation into the OR-Kids database.
Request and gather relevant records, including police reports, out-of-state histories, court documents, and physical or mental health records, as needed.
Coordinate the scheduling and rescheduling of client visits for the branch office, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with researching and verifying parent information, and handling related calls, mail, and documentation.
Conduct ICWA searches following policies and procedures to determine if a child is eligible for membership and qualified to receive tribal benefits
Supports certification and adoption units by maintaining accurate provider, case, and training records; coordinates with the placement coordinator to ensure services and certificates are current; prepares and distributes certification, adoption, and training packets; and scans all related documents into OR‑Kids.
Attends required meetings and trainings and provides backup support for clerical staff when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position. AND
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions
Work Locations: Milton Freewater and Pendleton offices and community sites.
Travel: Job duties include providing support to both the Milton Freewater and Pendleton office. Traveling between offices is a requirement. Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and other case related activities. This includes required occasional overnight travel.
Hours: Regular work week with fluctuating hours; occasional overtime may be needed, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements: Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting children with car seats.
This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.
