Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will lead testing operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, ensuring that all low, medium, and high-voltage energy cables meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of approximately 30 testing operators.
  • Planning daily testing activities and allocating resources according to production priorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety rules, work instructions, testing procedures, and quality standards.
  • Overseeing electrical testing activities, including HV testing, insulation testing, and partial discharge measurements.
  • Validating test results and ensuring testing equipment is available, calibrated, and operating correctly.
  • Managing non-conformities, coordinating containment actions, and supporting root cause analysis with Quality teams.
  • Ensuring that no product is released without meeting all testing and compliance requirements.
  • Acting as the technical lead during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), both onsite and remotely.
  • Presenting test procedures, methodologies, and results to customers in a professional manner.
  • Serving as the primary technical point of contact for customer questions related to testing standards and specifications.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on testing efficiency, quality, equipment capability, and process optimization.
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Managing testing documentation, SAP transactions, reporting activities, and KPI monitoring to ensure full traceability and operational excellence.

Your Experience

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in electrical testing within a manufacturing, industrial, or laboratory environment.
  • Previous leadership experience managing operators, technicians, or production teams.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing principles, including:
    • High Voltage (HV) testing
    • Insulation resistance testing
    • Partial Discharge (PD) measurements
    • Routine and type testing methodologies
  • Ability to interpret technical standards, testing specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills for reporting, KPI monitoring, and trend analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and a strong quality-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional during customer audits, inspections, and FAT sessions.
  • A commitment to fostering a safe, collaborative, and high-performance working environment.
