Hiring Unit:
Department of Chemistry
Position Summary:
- Perform synthetic work for the synthesis of eumelanin model compounds.
- Conduct NMR / EPR / UV-Vis spectroscopy experiments on these model compounds.
- Prepare written reports.
- Presentations of all conducted experiments.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of working independently, interpreting results and drawing conclusions for the design and execution of subsequent experiments.
- Knowledge in organic synthesis to design and execute multi-step synthesis.
Education and Experience:
- BSc (Hons.) in chemistry with 2.5 years of laboratory experience.
- Previous experience in organic synthesis and EPR, NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
