• Experience with transporting residents is a must. Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc. All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures. Adheres to and assures compliance with Code of Conduct, facility policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards as promulgated by Federal, State, and accrediting agencies or regulating bodies. This includes, but is not limited to, Department of Health, Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other applicable regulatory agencies. Ability to work with handicapped and the elderly. Acts as a positive representative of the operation. Uses tact and understanding with operation personnel, residents, family members, and outside community contacts. Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip. Assists disabled and/or elderly residents in and out of vehicle and in and out of buildings and doctor’s offices when appropriate. Assists all departments in the delivery and pick-up of other related work items, i.e., x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail drop off, etc. All documents will be maintained within HIPPA guidelines. Communicates with supervisor or other designee upon disruption of service for any reason. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote a safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community. Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Must be flexible and available for special occasions and special schedules. Maintains Kansas Driver License in good standing.
