Rope Access Supervisor (Scaffolding)

The Rope Access Supervisor (Scaffolding) is responsible for executing and supervising assigned offshore rope access and scaffolding activities safely and efficiently in line with company procedures, industry standards, and project requirements. The role involves managing rope access operations, leading scaffold erection and dismantling activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting inspection and maintenance work on offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate offshore rope access and scaffolding operations.

  • Perform rope access activities in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards.

  • Lead scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities as part of the scaffolding team.

  • Ensure all rope access and scaffolding equipment is inspected, maintained, and fit for purpose.

  • Conduct pre-job safety briefings and risk assessments with work teams.

  • Verify compliance with rope access procedures, IRATA requirements, and offshore safety regulations.

  • Carry out scaffold inspections, including independent, tower, birdcage, cantilever, hanging, and edge protection scaffolds.

  • Support offshore inspections of structures, vessels, and associated equipment as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.

  • Prepare and submit project and operational reports.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications & Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar offshore rope access and scaffolding supervisory role.

  • Valid IRATA Level 3 Certification.

  • IRATA Logbook demonstrating rope access working hours.

  • Valid BOSIET Certification.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of offshore safety procedures and rope access best practices.

  • Experience with scaffold erection, dismantling, inspection, and maintenance activities in offshore environments.
