A Senior SRE is accountable for one or more areas of the cloud infrastructure resources and supervises the work of the SREs in that area. They will focus on observability of their technical area and prioritising the operational service improvements to best improve the SLOs.

Joining us as a Site Reliability Engineer in our Finance Transformation journey, you will play a key role in ensuring our new technology stack is ready for promotion into BAU Support and all the relevant skills, knowledge and materials to manage the Application issues in Production are in place.

Our team needs an individual who is always looking at how we can best improve within the SRE space while encompassing our engineering principles within an Agile environment.

Now, what you’d be doing in this role supporting the Finance Transformation migration apps

• Supporting the new Oracle PaaS (FSDF) and SaaS (ERP, EPM)
• Working as Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focusing mainly on alerting, monitoring and observability. Ensuring that applications are up and running. Taking preventive actions to avoid incidents/application downtimes.
• Managing the resolution of issues in Production promptly and effectively
• Identifying opportunities to make improvements
• Working closely with the team to understand their backlog changes that will be coming through to RTB Support.
• Out of hours On-Call support is required for our applications, and will be managed via a Rota or Shift pattern

What you’ll need:

• Should have 6-12 years of industry experience.
• Hands-on working experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Dynatrace preferably).
• Working experience on ServiceNow and JIRA.
• Actively identifies technical and performance improvements with a view to integrating design patterns, new technologies and bleeding-edge engineering practices.
• Incident/problem/change management
• Assess query performance and actively contribute to optimizing the code
• Communicating with Business to understand requirements, socialise ideas among peers, and document work product
• Able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
• Highly developed problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Support internal audit by submitting required evidence
