Description
General PurposeAdd value to the Accounting Department with various projects, routine responsibilities and specific research. Reporting to the Accounting Manager Primary ResponsibilitiesAccount reconciliations of various General Ledger accounts including review of activity and postings, adjust for errors, identify trends and concerns and understand the impact the account has on Stafast’s financial statements. Support timely monthly and year-end financial closing activities. Monitor daily cash flow and make related journal entries; balance various checking accounts monthly. Manage the Sales Tax requirements, including quarterly returns and exemption status. Will involve independent research to determine Stafast’s obligations. Responsible for Work in Process and other related job costing. Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory Control activities. Handle other projects, reports, etc., in the department as needs arise. QualificationsPrefer Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting3-5 years well rounded general bookkeeping or accounting experience Ability to analyze data and draw a conclusionQuickly become proficient with our business package (Dynamics AX), and have strong Excel skills.Must be able to initiate and follow through on concerns and discrepancies.
