Grounds & Facilities Assistant - Winchester, VA

Winchester Equipment Company is a growing, customer-focused dealership specializing in the sales, rental, parts, and service of construction, agricultural, material-handling, and outdoor power equipment. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Grounds & Facilities Assistant to support our Facilities Manager and help maintain safe, clean, and professional dealership locations.

This full-time position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and is comfortable performing a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks in an active equipment-dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilities maintenance: Perform routine light maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, and general upkeep throughout dealership buildings and work areas.
• Grounds maintenance: Mow, trim, remove brush, clear debris, and maintain landscaping to keep dealership properties neat and professional.
• Seasonal support: Assist with leaf removal, snow and ice response, and other weather-related property needs as assigned.
• Equipment and supply support: Safely use and care for groundskeeping tools and equipment, report maintenance needs, and help organize facility supplies.
• Safety and appearance: Identify and promptly report unsafe conditions, property damage, or needed repairs while helping maintain clean customer and employee areas.
• Project assistance: Support the Facilities Manager with special projects, location needs, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and respond to changing priorities.
• Basic knowledge of groundskeeping, custodial work, hand tools, and minor facility maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment; prior experience is preferred.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active dealership operations.
• Ability to safely and repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
