TEAM SUMMARY
The Client Implementation Management team is responsible for facilitating and leading the onboarding process for both new and existing clients across various investment vehicles, including Institutional Separate Accounts and Sub-Advised accounts. The team maintains a comprehensive understanding of each client mandate’s specific requirements and ensures that all key stakeholders are accountable for executing their respective responsibilities. The Client Implementation Management team oversees and project manages the onboarding process through to completion.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Client Implementation Management (CIM) Manager is an experienced member of the regional onboarding function, responsible for managing complex client implementation and transition activities across Asia Pacific. This includes support for new account openings, custodian transitions, benchmark changes, account terminations, and other onboarding-related events.
The role is expected to apply sound judgment, coordinate effectively with stakeholders, support process improvements, and contribute to a consistent and well-controlled onboarding experience. The Manager helps identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure implementation activities are delivered in line with agreed timelines and internal standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leadership of High‑Complexity Client Onboardings
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for complex client onboardings, including new mandates, transitions, and changes across multiple markets.
Provide structure, coordination, and project discipline to ensure onboarding activities are completed effectively and within agreed timelines.
Escalate risks and issues appropriately while working with internal partners to support timely resolution.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the internal coordination point, ensuring effective communication with Distribution, Investment teams, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and global onboarding partners.
Participate in — and where appropriate, work together with Client Account Servicing (CAS) Manager to drive discussions with clients during planning, implementation, and transition phases.
Support stakeholder alignment, issue resolution, and timely decision-making through clear communication and follow-up.
3. Advanced Documentation Review & Operational Interpretation
Conduct review of IMAs, investment guidelines, fee schedules, ESG disclosures, operational requirements, and other mandate documents to identify implementation impacts.
Assess operational feasibility, identify implementation impacts, and recommend required internal actions with guidance where needed.
4. Process Improvement & Regional Support
Support initiatives to enhance the regional onboarding framework, standard templates, and cross-functional workflows.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements aligned with regional and global standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned from implementations and supporting adoption of best practices.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work with CAS and other internal partners to clarify responsibilities, coordination expectations, and communication needs across onboarding activities.
Support alignment between regional CIM teams, global onboarding partners, and related operational functions.
Represent CIM in relevant working groups and stakeholder discussions as required.
6. Subject Matter Knowledge & Team Support
Apply strong subject matter knowledge of onboarding processes, operational setups, and cross-market client requirements.
Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues on implementation activities, stakeholder coordination, and documentation review.
Support knowledge sharing, onboarding training, and consistent application of regional standards.
7. Reporting, Controls & Day-2 Follow-Up
Maintain onboarding reporting and tracking to support transparency, accuracy, and management visibility.
Track Day-2 items, support effective handover, and follow up on outstanding tasks through to closure.
Support adherence to regulatory requirements, risk controls, and internal policies across implementation activities.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in client onboarding, client servicing, or mandate implementation within asset management.
Experience managing complex onboarding projects with limited supervision.
Strong understanding of investment products, cross‑market operational requirements, and APAC regulatory environments.
Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across functions and regions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
Ability to support and guide less experienced colleagues within the function.
