We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the GAO  supporting Cash and deposit governance  Independent Price Verification (IPV), valuation governance, and regulatory control functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating the fair value of financial instruments, performing pricing analysis, investigating valuation discrepancies, and supporting the firm's control and compliance framework. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, and external pricing vendors

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Lead team responsible for Performing Independent Price Verification (IPV) validation and re-pricing of securities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of valuations.

•  Ensure accurate classification, recognition, and reporting of cash and deposit accounts in line with US GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory frameworks
• Lead the Cash and deposit governance project Transact for upcoming transition of bank branches.
• Lead the day to day activities of an accounting and reporting team that is performing Accounting, Reporting, Analysis and Tracking

•  Utilize market data and analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, Intex, and Reuters to perform valuation and verification analysis.
• Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, , as well as external auditors to investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies and valuation variances.
•  Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control execution, coordination, testing, and documentation to support regulatory and audit requirements.
•  Participate in process improvement initiatives, ad-hoc analyses, and special projects as assigned by management.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing valuation evidence, supporting documentation, and control narratives.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements

Process Improvement & Projects

• Identify opportunities to enhance valuation methodologies, controls, and reporting processes.
• Participate in automation and transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
• Support strategic projects and ad-hoc assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• CA or Equivalent Accounting Degree  with 14-20 years of progressive experience and atleast 7-8 years of core experience in Valuation and IPV
• Securities knowledge preferred
• Cash and deposit experience preffered
• Financial statement analysis
• Strong analytical and excel skills required
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
