Job description & summary:

We are looking for experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) Consultants to join our SAP practice across India. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in SAP MM, experience in end-to-end implementations, rollouts, support, or transformation programs, and the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. 

The role is open across Associate, Senior Associate, and Manager levels based on experience and demonstrated capabilities. 

Responsibilities 

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Procurement and Inventory Management. 

  • Design, configure, test, and deploy SAP MM solutions in line with business requirements. 

  • Work on SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement, and support projects. 

  • Configure and support key SAP MM processes, including: 

  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) 

  • Purchase Requisition 

  • Purchase Orders 

  • RFQ and Quotations 

  • Contracts and Scheduling Agreements 

  • Release Strategy 

  • Inventory Management 

  • Physical Inventory 

  • Goods Receipt and Goods Issue 

  • Invoice Verification 

  • Vendor Master 

  • Material Master 

  • Pricing Procedures 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP SD, FICO, PP, WM/EWM, QM, PM, and ABAP. 

  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements. 

  • Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and go-live activities. 

  • Conduct end-user training and prepare functional documentation. 

  • Ensure adherence to project quality standards and delivery timelines. 

Lead SAP MM workstreams across implementation and transformation engagements. 

  • Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor. 

  • Lead requirement workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder discussions. 

  • Mentor and coach junior consultants. 

  • Support business development activities, proposals, estimations, and solution presentations. 

  • Manage project governance, risks, budgets, and delivery quality. 

Mandatory Skill Sets:

Strong expertise in SAP MM configuration and business processes. 

  • Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA. 

  • Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes. 

  • Experience in master data management and procurement lifecycle. 

  • Knowledge of integration with SAP SD, FICO, PP, WM/EWM, QM, and Ariba is an advantage. 

  • Experience in preparing functional specifications and coordinating with technical teams. 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment. 

Preferred Skill sets

  • 2–15 years of relevant SAP MM consulting experience. 

  • Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation. Multiple implementation, rollout, migration, or AMS projects are preferred. 

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition projects is desirable. 

  • Exposure to Agile, Activate methodology, and project documentation. 

  • Domain experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail, Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, or Chemicals is preferred. 

Years of Experience Required:

 2–15 Years 

Education Qualification 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. 

  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
