High-bandwidth memory (HBM) is an innovative memory solution that uses 3D stacking of DRAM for fast speeds, expansive bandwidth and low power per transaction. HBM is primary solution for AI applications.

As a Micron Global Quality FE Central (Senior) QE Product Engineer, you will be a member of the worldwide quality team, responsible for driving quality and reliability initiatives into FE MFG network for high bandwidth memory (HBM) product for critical customer AI applications.

You will work closely with PE/GQ QRA/FE fab teams and Central PIE to establish BKMs, set up program with line of sight metric, develop a strategy and closely work on execution to achieve program milestones for customer field DPM excellence. You will also work with smart manufacturing AI team for automation and AI solution development and deployment to continue helping HBM quality management with AI transformation.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop, manage, and/or communicate quality strategy with line of sight metrics and goals to monitor execution health.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives or enabling projects that support FE MFG leadership and companywide quality objectives.
  • Establish quality related program and initiatives to support critical network expansion e.g. Singapore HBM expansion, Boise ID1 new tech node setup
  • Leverage Micron-approved AI tool and data-driven methodologies to enhance engineering effectiveness, accelerate learning cycles, and improve quality decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-enabled process improvements that enhance product quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Provide Tactical Support:

  • Develop and drive compliance in global business process related to product quality.
  • Work with cross-functional team to develop and deploy BKMs of BE to FE teamwork process like WL DPM forecast and RMA DPM reduction etc.
  • Part of the FE quality team as SME in reliability fail modes and its associated detection, drives and engages in quality projects for overall DPM reduction.
  • Work with fab team to act on and provide Corrective and Preventive Actions with regards to customer feedbacks on quality and product issues.
  • Work with fab team and collaborate with Central PIE to ensure fast internal DPM reduction during tech node ramping.

Qualifications:

  • Good presentation skill with capability to lead network large group discussion.
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills a plus.
  • Expert in frontend manufacturing process, frontend/backend test flows, methodologies and product fail modes a plus.
  • Knowledge in DRAM product a plus
  • Proficient in English for communication in a verbal and written form
  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools, data analytics platforms, or automation solutions to improve engineering workflows.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree and above in engineering or related field of study

Experience

  • Required 3 years plus experience in any of the following: Semiconductor Company Product Quality Assurance, Process Integration, Product Engineer, Product Yield Enhancement related area
