The Regional Nurse - South Asia acts as a key clinical lead, responsible for upholding GE Vernova’s corporate medical standards across operations in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. This role bridges the gap between clinical nursing practice, regulatory compliance, and industrial health services, ensuring our workforce receives high-quality health coverage across diverse project sites, factories and offices.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Medical Governance & Compliance: Implement corporate medical standards and ensure strict adherence to local laws and regulations across all operational territories.
· Operational Excellence: Design and deploy standardized operational processes, including Standard Operating procedures- SOPs, clinical tools, and documents.
· Projects & Service Lifecycle:
- ITO (Inquiry to Order): Lead the tender phase requirements gathering by partnering with business and EHS leaders to ensure all medical needs are properly scoped, costed, and aligned with regional objectives to guarantee optimized coverage
- OTR (Order to Remittance): Oversee the execution phase to ensure seamless implementation, consistent service delivery, and operational excellence
- Emergency & Health Protocols: Implement Medical Emergency Response Plans (MERP) and Medical Surveillance Exam Protocols.
- Vendor & Quality Management: Partner with sourcing teams to identify and contract third-party medical providers; ensure compliance for ambulance services, First Aid, AEDs, and bio-medical waste management.
- Competency Assurance: Conduct technical interviews for paramedics and nursing staff to ensure all onsite medical personnel meet project-specific requirements.
- Health Risk Assessment (HRA): Evaluate local medical capabilities and infrastructure, identifying gaps and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with EHS, Project leaders, HR, and Operations to integrate medical services into the business vertical.
- Wellness Programs: Support the deployment of company-wide wellness initiatives
- Provide direct nursing support at the primary work location.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Qualification: Nursing degree with a current & valid registration in India.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience, ideally in an industrial, occupational health, or large-scale clinical environment.
· Communication: High proficiency in English (Reading, Writing, Verbal).
Desirable Skills & Attributes
· Prior experience in a corporate or multi-site healthcare role.
· Working knowledge of Hindi; fluency in additional languages is a distinct advantage.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
· Effective problem-identification and solution-oriented mindset.
