Job Summary

As an Application Specialist, you will play a key role in developing innovative flavor and ingredient solutions for local and regional customers. Working in our IC&D laboratory in Gebze, you will design and execute culinary trials, create recipes, evaluate products, and support customer projects from concept through documentation. This hands-on role combines technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration, offering the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Develop and execute culinary and application trials in the IC&D Gebze laboratory to support customer and business needs.
  • Partner with local and regional teams on customer projects, translating briefs into innovative product solutions.
  • Create and optimize base recipes while applying flavors, ingredients, and technologies to deliver desired product performance.
  • Conduct product evaluations, analyze results, and communicate findings with the Group Leader and project teams.
  • Manage and continuously improve the internal product portfolio through evaluation, categorization, and updates.
  • Build and maintain ingredient and application knowledge databases to support product development activities.
  • Contribute to the development of a common flavor language and best practices aligned with global and regional standards.
  • Ensure laboratory excellence through proper maintenance, stock monitoring, organization, and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and actively share ideas to enhance processes, efficiency, and innovation.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related life sciences field.
  • Hands-on experience in food applications, ingredients, flavors, or product development is preferred.
  • Strong laboratory and practical problem-solving skills with a passion for experimentation and innovation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and project management.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies, ingredients, and application techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural and matrix organization while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
