Role purpose
Program Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Lead a business-critical modernisation program and help shape the future of our organisation
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to play a pivotal role in the mobilisation and delivery planning of a major enterprise-wide modernisation program. Reporting into the Enterprise Delivery & Governance team, this highly visible role will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, and program sponsors to establish the foundations for a successful transformation initiative.
This is an opportunity for a strong communicator and relationship builder who can confidently operate across both business and technology environments, translating complex concepts into clear, concise and actionable insights for a broad range of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
About the Role
As Program Manager, you will lead the mobilisation phase of a significant modernisation program, driving planning, governance, business case development, stakeholder alignment and delivery readiness. You will work across multiple business functions and technology teams to ensure priorities, dependencies and outcomes are clearly understood and effectively managed.
Success in this role will require someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, confidently facilitate discussions, and provide objective, executive-ready reporting on progress, risks, decisions and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mobilisation and planning of a large-scale enterprise modernisation program.
Develop and maintain the program roadmap, delivery approach and implementation plans.
Drive business case development, solution evaluation and requirements gathering activities.
Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures and delivery controls.
Prepare clear, concise and executive-ready updates for steering committees and senior leadership forums.
Build strong relationships across business, technology and external stakeholders to drive alignment and outcomes.
Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and decision-making forums.
Identify, manage and communicate program risks, issues and dependencies.
Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to support delivery readiness and successful execution.
About You
You are a collaborative and influential Program Manager with a track record of leading complex business and technology-enabled initiatives. While you understand technology delivery practices and system implementation lifecycles, your true strength lies in your ability to bring people together, navigate complexity and communicate effectively at all levels of an organisation.
You will bring:
Proven experience leading complex transformation, modernisation or enterprise-wide programs.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Ability to engage, influence and build credibility with senior leaders, business stakeholders and technology teams.
Experience developing business cases, governance frameworks and delivery roadmaps.
Strong governance, reporting and program management capability.
Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
Sound understanding of technology delivery, implementation methodologies and ways of working.
Ability to distil complex information into meaningful insights and executive-level communications.
Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities, risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile transformation initiative that will have broad organisational impact. You will work alongside experienced business and technology leaders, influence strategic outcomes and help shape the future direction of a major enterprise program.
The initial appointment is for 12 months, with the potential for ongoing involvement in future delivery phases, subject to program requirements and funding approval.
If you're an experienced Program Manager who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, stakeholder engagement and technology delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
