You would be responsible to operate conventional, fluoroscopic, and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body portions according to physician specifi­cations.  Assists physicians in carrying out examinations by preparing contrast media, assisting in sterile procedures, and the like. Outpatient setting.

What you will do:

• Performs general radiography. Properly positions patients in order to obtain desired diagnostic results, places protective lead shields on patients, and sets correct technical exposure.

• Performs a variety of related clerical tasks such as retrieving previous films, filing, answering phones, relaying messages, completing encounter forms and scheduling

• Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided. 

• Performs quality checks on equipment in accordance with department procedure. Produces the highest quality radiographs and digital images with the lowest practical dose of radiation in accordance with procedure ordered.   

• Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Science or equivalent post-secondary education required.  Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program.

• A.R.R.T. registered and current State license in radiography.

• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical internship and two (2) years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Requires a strong working knowledge of radiographic equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• CPR certification
