Fyfe is seeking an experienced Principal Contaminated Land Consultant to join our Brisbane team and support the continued growth of our contaminated land and environmental services.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong consultant who is looking to take the next step in their career by providing technical leadership, mentoring capability, and project expertise across a diverse range of sectors including resources, government, infrastructure, property, and energy.

We are looking for someone who brings strong contaminated land consulting experience, understands the Queensland regulatory environment, and can confidently manage complex projects while building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

A key requirement for this role is experience as an SQP or demonstrated capability that meets the requirements to act as an SQP under relevant Queensland contaminated land legislation and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across contaminated land assessments, investigations, remediation and validation projects
  • Manage complex multidisciplinary projects from inception through to completion
  • Provide expert advice to clients, regulators and project stakeholders
  • Prepare, review and oversee high-quality technical reports and deliverables
  • Support business development activities including client engagement, proposals and tenders
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships
  • Mentor and support junior consultants to build technical capability within the team
  • Apply strong project management skills to ensure successful delivery of projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Significant contaminated land consulting experience, ideally within the resources, government, infrastructure, property, manufacturing or energy sectors
  • Experience working within the Queensland regulatory framework
  • SQP status, or demonstrated experience and capability to act as a Suitably Qualified Person
  • Strong understanding of contaminated land assessment, risk management, remediation and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience managing projects, budgets and client expectations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring consultants and contributing to high-performing teams
