As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients in and out of the clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
• Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to confirm upcoming appointments
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, directing calls to the appropriate staff member as needed
• Verify insurance information and collect payments from patients
• Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
• Keep the reception area clean and organized
• Communicate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure a smooth patient flow
• Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
• Previous experience working in a medical office or customer service role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
