Description

The Aspen Group (TAG) is one of the largest and most trusted retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S. and has supported over 20,000 healthcare professionals and team members with close to 1,500 health and wellness offices across 48 states in four distinct categories: dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. Working in partnership with independent practice owners and clinicians, the team is united by a single purpose: to prove that healthcare can be better and smarter for everyone. TAG provides a comprehensive suite of centralized business support services that power the impact of five consumer-facing businesses: Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. Each brand has access to a deep community of experts, tools and resources to grow their practices, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality consumer healthcare experiences at scale.

As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as Clinical Applications Analyst.

Job Overview:

The Clinical Applications Analyst is an early-career but highly technical role responsible for the configuration, support, and optimization of clinical applications that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. This role demonstrates increasing ownership of assigned applications, environments, and workflows, applying structured analysis and technical problem-solving skills to ensure stability, data integrity, and effective end-user adoption. Analysts operate with growing independence, leverage SQL and system tools to investigate issues, and contribute meaningfully to application lifecycle activities while building depth in healthcare IT platforms and clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and implement clinical application solutions with defined ownership of assigned modules or workflows.

  • Perform application builds, maintenance, and troubleshooting using structured analytical approaches.

  • Independently resolve routine-to-moderate complexity support tickets; participate in on-call rotations and escalate appropriately.

  • Use SQL and reporting tools to investigate data issues, validate workflows, and support operational analysis.

  • Maintain accountability for assigned workstreams, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Develop strong partnerships with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into system solutions.

  • Support observability and monitoring activities for enterprise applications, including reviewing alerts, logs, and performance metrics.

  • Contribute to team initiatives, upgrades, and enhancement efforts with clear documentation and follow-through.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

User Training and Support

  • Provide direct application support and functional guidance to end users within assigned application areas.

  • Develop and maintain job aids, workflows, and reference documentation.

  • Communicate user needs, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior analysts and project teams.

Project Management and Implementation

  • Support deployments, upgrades, and enhancement activities, owning defined tasks end to end.

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements under guidance.

  • Execute testing activities, validate outcomes, and document results following established standards.

Business Process Improvement

  • Analyze current workflows and identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.

  • Understand and articulate how configuration decisions impact clinical and business processes.

  • Participate in periodic system reviews when requested.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support issue resolution.

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and escalation needs to team members and leadership.

  • Support coordination with vendors as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, or healthcare IT.

  • Familiarity with databases, software development life cycles (SDLC), and business process analysis.

  • Prior experience working with clinical applications or healthcare IT systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, etc)

  • Experience with troubleshooting tools, SQL, and scripting languages.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with project management or working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Excel skills being most critical

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical aptitude with a focus on application functionality and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Annual Salary Range: $82,000-$95,000, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match

  • Location: Hybrid Schedule located in our Chicago office in the West Loop
