Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain clear communication, and respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to utility operations areas by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, and maintaining required access records.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at assigned entry points, communicate access requirements, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas, access points, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
