Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) specializes in high quality, effective, efficient and end-to-end services and solutions delivery. We are a global organization of more than 3,300 employees, operating across our main locations in Costa Rica, Switzerland, Hungary with the satellite in Latvia, India and Malaysia. 

We support our partners from Finance and Procurement services and solutions, Global Customer Support, Business Process Management, to Digital Marketing Support,  Analytics & Automation,E2E  Project Management and Healthcare Compliance Monitoring.

About the team

The Global Project Management (PM) team is a group of over 120 internal Project Managers who specialize in E2E Project Management. Our team is providing services in the areas of pre-project initiatives, project planning and execution, implementation and post project assessments. The core objective of PM is to deliver Project Management  competencies and methodologies tailored to the needs of our internal partners across Roche.

About the job

As the Head of Project Management Region APAC you support Roche in internalizing external spend for E2E Project Management to support cost effectiveness and delivery efficiency in all areas of project management.

Your Opportunity

Key Accountabilities

• Lead through leaders an organization of 30+ Project Managers located across the RSS APAC locations, primarily centered in India
• Balance dual responsibilities by dedicating 40% of capacity to delivering complex projects while providing leadership to the team 
• Further develop global E2E Project Management services by partnering closely with the entire RSS PM Leadership Team to collaboratively shape, align, and execute the PM strategy in support of Roche's 10-year ambitions
• Ensure strong relationships and stakeholder management across Region APAC and beyond by acting as a coach and catalyst to stakeholders to ensure their requirements are considered
• Support savings generation for Roche by providing high-quality project management services across the region
• Further develop internal relationships and collaboration while driving optimized workforce management and effective resource allocation

Key Leadership Responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders across Region APAC and the PM Leadership Team to ensure a unified and collaborative delivery of Project Management services
• Actively manage and lead the most demanding projects while simultaneously supporting team members with project management methodology, guidance, and complex related topics 
• Deliver exceptional services and solutions by enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and scalability of regional operations through continuous improvement
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence to sustain a high-performing organization
• Demonstrate effective leadership in managing and directing international teams within a changing and demanding environment
• Prioritize team development and support individual career growth across the region
• Pro-actively follow and stay informed of external trends and best practices through networking and collaboration with industry peers and external sources

Who you are

• You hold a Master's Degree in business administration with focus on project management or equivalent
• Experienced leader with 7+ years of professional work experience with a proven track record of managing projects and building and managing high-performing teams in a customer-centric, collaborative environment
• Experience in managing regional or multi-layered teams, preferably in a servicing environment
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Proven track record in implementing large-scale initiatives and driving organizational change
• Demonstrates strategic agility and entrepreneurial thinking as well as the ability to navigate complexity and uncertainty
• Motivates and inspires teams, creating a strong sense of purpose
• Demonstrates strong capability in creative leadership, design thinking, and change management
• Communicates complex topics clearly to inclusive audiences, including regional leadership, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to travel internationally as required
